Welcome! I am a Christian school librarian, wife, and mom. I also have the honor of being Grandma to 3 little sweeties. I am a member of a Reformed bible believing church, a Christian who loves her Lord and values His Word. I believe that God’s Word is Truth and that I am called to obey, honor and glorify Him in everything I do…including the books I read. My goal is to provide reviews of books, old and new, of all different genres, through the lens of my faith.
As a Christian school librarian for over 10 years, I know how challenging it can be to help your children and teens find books that are interesting, engaging, current, and enjoyable when so much of the world’s ideology is in direct opposition to the standard of God’s Word. We understand that sin exists in books because sin exists in the world and in our own hearts. However, our goal as Christians is to be salt and light in the world, not conforming to the world’s standards but shining the light of Truth.
As a Mom and Grandma, I want to guide my kids and grandkids in their reading life. I hope to be a help for anyone looking to find books that align with God’s standards, praising the good and giving warning about the bad. These reviews are only my personal opinion and not an indication that it would be right or wrong for a Christian to read or share any particular book. However, I’ll do my best to note any content that could be concerning so that you can make an informed judgement on the appropriateness for you and your family.
