“Duck’s friend Rabbit, has lost a tooth and the quest to find it brings together a party of loyal friends.”
Duck is very worried when he receives a letter from his friend, Rabbit about a lost tooth. He immediately sets out to look for the tooth. Along the way he is joined by more friends, Badger, Turtle, Mouse, and Squirrel who all want to help as good friends do. They search the forest very thoroughly but to no avail. How will they explain to Rabbit that they failed?
This sweet story of a group of animal friends reminds me of the Winnie the Pooh stories. Beautiful, vivid, pencil style illustrations add warmth and detail to this classic feeling story. The animal characters are sweet, empathetic, and easy to love as they all try so hard to help their friend Rabbit. Children will enjoy spotting the friend’s mistakes and misinterpretations as they work to solve the problem. The soft humor of the story reveals itself in the plot as well as in the illustrations.
