“Go wild in the Animal Kingdom with a host of Lego Minifigures” Amazon.com

A bright, colorful nonfiction book with Lego minifigures! Full of stunning photos, fun facts, and Lego humor, this book is sure to be a hit with any elementary age child. This book explores 8 different animal habitats and the amazing animals that live in each of them. From polar bears (did you know that their skin is black under all that white fur?) in the Arctic to kangaroos (did you know they can hop as fast as a horse can run?) in the Grasslands, the amazing facts, beautiful real life photos and Lego minifigures will keep you flipping page after page to discover more. This book features over 50 animals along with Lego minifigure comic strips and Lego building ideas. Great for gifting or adding to your child’s library.

Is the book well written, age appropriate, and engaging? Yes. The pages are well laid out and attractive. Text is broken up into small blocks so that even early readers are not overwhelmed. Each page features minifigures along with a Minifact box.

Is the information accurate and compatible with Biblical teachings?  Overall, yes. I did note one reference to “beetles have been cleaning up for millions of years” in the Dung Beetle facts.  Also one mention of Ancient Egyptians having a dung beetle god.

Recommended Age: This book has high kid appeal! Reading level would be appropriate for any K-3rd graders but even the older students have a great time with this book.
